Episode 2 of GenXorcist: Generation Exorcist in the works

I know it's been a while since I've posted a new episode, but episode 2 of GenXorcist: Generation Exorcist is definitely in the works. Thing is, I caught a serious case of rewrite-itis. I kept getting ideas I wanted to include so the plot kept changing. Also, I want this series to be more agile than it's been in the past. Less complication and exposition and more action and fun, so I've been cutting fat and streamlining. I've finally got a script I've really excited about (only took about a zillion rewrites) and I'm starting the art now. Believe me, drawing is the easy part so that won't take long. I'll post a status update in a couple of weeks.

Who Are The Cabal?

Here's a quick rundown of the members of the Cabal that have been introduced so far and their powers:

Magdalene
The leader of the team, Maggie is a tactical genius,an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant and an unparalleled markswoman. She carries a "ghost gun" that fires ectoplasmic projectiles that hurt supernatural entities while living natural being unhurt. The gun will only work for her. Maggie shares a telepathic bond with Gelding, a demon that had been mystically bound to her.

Temujin
A reincarnated Mongolian warrior trapped in the body of a woman, Temujin is a martial artist proficient with virtually any form of melee weapon and is master of countless forms of hand-to-hand combat. The sword she carries is an enchanted blade capable of cutting through virtually any substance, including magic.

Superion
Superion is a powerful telekinetic with the ability to levitate himself and others. He can also form solid shapes out of pure telekinetic energy.

Shaneequa Power
Shaneequa Power posseses the ability to take on the properties of any inanimate substance she touches, such as stone, metal, rubber, glass, etc. While in these forms, her strength, resilience, and liabilities are those of the substance she's absorbed. The change normally lasts just a few minutes.

Reengineer
Reengineer is a tactile ferrokinetic. She can transform any metal she touches into shapes at will. She typically wears an armor which she transmutes while in battle.

Torpedo Ray
Ray is an Atlantean with the ability to breathe underwater, survive the great pressure and temperature extremes associated with the deep and discharge bio-electrical energy much in the manner of an electric eel or her namesake: the Torpedo Ray.

Moribund
Moribund has the ability to phase herself between the living world and the land of the dead, thus becoming intangible. She can also crossover at will, see in any darkness and move as silently as a ghost. She is also a conduit to the dead with the ability to speak to the departed.

Gelding
Gelding is actually an incubus who was castrated by Magdalene and thus bonded to her as her loyal servant. He is immensely strong and nearly indestructible. He is impervious to most magical attacks, but can be bound as any other demon. He shares a telepathic bond with his mistress Magdalene, but it has yet to be revealed if he's capable of speech.

The Witch Family

In the first episode of GenXorcist: Generation Exorcist, the Cabal face off against the Bell Witch and the Witch Family.

But who is the Bell Witch?

Below is an excerpt from "The Bell Witch Legend (2008)" posted on The Ringmaster's Realm:

"The legend of the Bell Witch is one of the most interesting tales passed on by our forefathers from early American folklore and for good reason. What happened to John Bell and his family was both frightening and tragic, yet the eerie nature of the occurrences still goes unexplained. To this day when people speak of the "Bell Witch" an unnerving chill runs down their spines. Was it a curse? Or was it an unsettled poltergeist from long before John Bell's arrival near the Red River?"

"The spirit also had a unique ability to change personalities in the middle of conversations with the Bells' or their many visitors. The spirit it seemed had four distinct personalities (five if you count Ol' Kate). These personalities all had different voices and traits which made it easy for the family to separate the perpetrator of the moment. These spirits were named Black dog, Mathematics, Cypocryphy and Jerusalem. Once they appeared, the amount of interaction with the Bell family increased ten fold. Not a night went by that the spirits didn't hold a revival in the Bell's parlor. These events weren't always targeted at tormenting John and Betsy Bell, often times the spirits would just accompany the family in the singing of hymns or re-telling lost tales of folklore."

My super villain versions of the Bell Witch and The Witch Family take liberal license with the legend:

Kate, The Bell Witch - Sorceress
Cypocryphy - Can fly and spin silk
Black Dog - Superhuman strength, reflexes and senses
Jerusalem - Laser eyes that can shift through the complete spectrum
Mathematics - Mathematical genius in protective armor
